A day in the country....

Now that we have unpacked some,  we wanted to do some exploring.  We headed to the Village at Sugarbush, then off to Waterbury for some lunch.  Everyone is so nice here. Apparently Waterbury was pretty damaged during Hurricane Irene, but thankfully they are up and running again.  Then off to Murray's to pick our very own Christmas tree.  Usually we just hit up a home depot :)  When we asked someone where we could buy a tree, he looked at Rob confused and said, "why don't you cut your own tree down?"  GOOD point! So we did.

dad went to go pick up his season pass

then off to lunch at this cute cafe.  Was tasty!

Then off to cut down our tree.

whoo hoo!

hmmm, what tree to pick?

Get to work mama

On the road again...

Let the new adventures begin!

We arrived in Vermont on Wednesday night after a long day of travelling.  We left New York at 8am, where I left Max's diaper bag (don't worry, they are sending it back to me), and made a pit stop in Warwick, RI to see some of my McCallum Family.  It was so good to see them.  It was also a big event for us because it was the first time my father has meet Max.  It was great watching Grandpa and Grandson.  A memory I am sure I will never forget.

After we filled our bellies with snacks, we headed back on the road.  5 hours later, we reached our destination.  The Callagy Condo.  It is so cozy here.  We promptly lite a fire and settled in for the night.  Max is getting used to the time change and is doing well with that, thank god :)

and we are off......

So as many may know, I HATE FLYING! So needless to say I wasn't uber excited for this day.  Thankfully, mama was able to keep herself together.  Max has actually proven to be a better flyer than his mama.  Sadly, we can not say the same for Oz.  He had a little accident in his kennel.  But don't tell anyone, he is a little embarrassed about it.

And so it begins.........

T-minus 5 days till Vermont.  We have started packing, and packing.  I believe that we have once again over packed, and I blame it solely on Rob. :)

We are getting so excited to go East and see all of our family, and to have our family meet Max.

memories.....

My friend Merry forwarded a video to me the other day that I had not seen before.  It was from the day Max was born.  I am not in this video, because sadly I was still in the recovery room.  I am still sadden when I try to remember that day, and those moments when Max entered the world.  I know that we are so lucky that he has come to us healthy, but I can't help but mourn the idea that his birth didn't go as I planned.

I wish I was the first to hold him. I wish I was able to hear his first cry.
but thankfully, daddy was able to :)

I am so thankful that those who were able to hear his first sounds, and to hold his little body, were the people I love so much, as you can see in the video.

DECEMBER!!!!!

We love this time of year!

Christmas is a few short weeks away.  We started our festivities with the Christmas tree lighting downtown, so next on our list was meeting Santa.  Max did so good.  I think Santa was more scared of Max than, Max of Santa.  We are loving these "firsts" moments with Max.  Although I cant wait till he is old enough to understand who Santa is and magic Christmas holds.

Is that Rudolf, Dad?

5 MONTHS!

Max is growing like a weed.  He is putting all sorts of things in his mouth and exploring.  He has even tried prunes, which he liked.  I am excited to see what else he will like.  I think he will be a good eater.  I can see the excitement in his face when I bring out his baby spoon.  Max isn't sitting up on his own yet, but he loves to be seated so he can see what is going on around him.  He bounces in his jumper with such excitement, its so fun to watch. And I think my most favorite, is he is just starting to reach up to me when I go to grab him.  I love that!

Sophie tastes good

on the Christmas carousel.  This made mama pretty dizzy. Not as fun as I remember :)

He loves to sleep with Chester.  I love seeing that.  He grabs on to him and holds on to him
through most of the night.

NAKKKED! I bet he will hate this picture when he is older
