Did you ever see that movie, "Baby Boom"? Diane Keaton was in it and it was released in 1987. That made me about 10. I am not sure I was that age when I first saw this movie, but I know once I did I became sort of obsessed. Why? Who the hell knows. But I really loved that movie. And one of the most memorable things about that movie was Vermont. The color of the leaves, the small town, and the quaint surroundings. I always told myself I would go there some day. Well who knew, that decades later I would end up marring a man whose father owns a ski condo in Vermont?! So my dream came true-I made it to Vermont. It was all that I imagined. Little general stores with pot belly stoves and all the cider you could drink. Maple syrup sold by the gallons. And the most beautiful old wood bridges, standing tall after all these years.
Well this fall we are traveling back to New England to visit family, and attend Rob's sisters wedding. My monster is the ring bearer. Dear god wish us luck! But I get to go back up to Vermont but this time to see the foliage that Vermont is so famous for. It's just like in the movie, where I first fell in love with Vermont. I may just have to buy that movie for all times sake.
And the pictures opportunities! I can't freakin' wait!
Seattle's fall isn't to shabby either! |
